How do I get a tutor?
Simply put, our tutors see all our students as individuals and cater to those needs. We quickly determine what kind of thinking they possess, and we use their strenghts to overcome their weaknesses. We balance old and new school methods which blend perfectly to create a curriculum that personalizes learning with a hands on approach, and uses technology as a tool to supplement education. In order to do this effectively, we strongly suggest you sign up for a month of sessions (8 hours), so we can make a real difference in your life.

How does Alpha Kid Tutoring Work?
We tutor students of all ages, in all subjects, and also prepare them for the all important state tests such as regents, PSAT, SAT, ACT, LSAT, GRE, etc. There is no task that is too challenging for Alpha Kid to undertake, so whatever the problem may be, Alpha Kid is here to help your child get into the best colleges.

What can I get help with?
What's the minimum time to work with a tutor?
We strongly recommend that each student work with a tutor for a minimum of one month. This means that you will have one on one instruction two times per week at one hour per session. If you sign up for one month, the student will receive 8 hours of personal instruction, and you will get a discount for that one month commitment. It's a proven fact that just a few hours of one on one tutoring is equivalent to days spent in an over-crowded classroom.

We will provide progress reports once a month so the student can gauge his or her level of improvement. This report will also include the areas where the student still needs practice. These reports truly make a student's progress concrete, and will show the true value of a one on one education.
Can I review my previous sessions?
Of course, we at Alpha Kid will pair you up with an outstanding tutor, and it only makes sense that you stick with the person you're comfortable with. Once a student has a teacher he or she likes, and is showing improvement then we wouldn't want to destroy the chemistry between them. However, if for some reason you're dissatisfied with a particular tutor, we will gladly suggest another instructor to suit your individual needs.
